With over 18 years of experience behind the chair and 14 of them at Mynt, Dave brings a unique blend of technical skill, creativity, and laid-back charm to every appointment. A graduate of the Aveda Institute and Academy in Toronto—where he later returned to teach—Dave has built a reputation for cuts and colour that are bold, balanced, and easy to wear.

Dave is especially known for his barbering techniques and specializes in men’s hair, delivering everything from sharp fades to longer, relaxed looks. He also loves working with women’s styles, with a strong eye for edgy, shorter cuts and customized colour—whether it’s subtle dimension or a full transformation.

As the younger brother of Mynt’s founding stylists, John and Dan, hairstyling runs in Dave’s DNA. But it’s his passion for people, constant learning, and easygoing personality that keep clients coming back.

Outside the salon, you’ll find Dave on a hike or relaxing by the lake.
